This series takes place in Japan (subtitled) and yes, it’s about a couple who are unable to have intercourse. Is it because the man’s penis is too big? Is there something physically wrong with the woman?
Oddly, these are unanswered questions.
In typical Japanese fashion, much is made of the problem, but little is devoted to a solution.
It’s a very odd series, very Japanese, very intriguing for all its mystery. It's also fairly infuriating because the characters never consult a doctor, never discuss the problem with each other or friends, never explore alternatives. There is a big gaping flaw in the plot because they simply accept this situation, without attempting to determine the cause.
The series moves slowly, with lots of long lingering shots. It's not for everybody.
