They're in the news again this week.The series stars Mathew Broderick and Uzo Aduba, who played "Crazyeyes" in Orange is the New Black.
It's maybe a little over-dramatized (I doubt the Sacklers were THAT callous) but it's "based on facts" and certainly the overzealous marketing of a highly-addictive opioid 2x stronger than heroin (in a candy coating) was sloppy at best, and possibly criminal at worst.
I'm so lucky I've never had chronic pain, or known anyone addicted to painkillers. It's an easy path.
