Wife of a friend of mine had a very serious cancer, it bridged both her bladder and her colon. The surgery to remove it and reconstruct her GI tract was last week, and successful. The surgeons are confident they got it all, and it had not metasticized. Her prognosis is good.
His little mailing list of friends and former co-workers--of which I'm one--has been writing words of encouragement.
Unfortunately, a couple of them are invoking a supernatural intervention in her successful surgery.
I wanted, I desperately wanted to say your invisible sky father doesn't get credit for her recovery unless you also give it the blame for the original cancer.
But, under the circumstances, I held my tongue. Gosh, am I developing impulse control, finally???
