Scientists are working on a computer made of human stem cells, triggered to develop into brain neurons.

Stem cells have been used for years to grow all sorts of organs, and there's no ethical concerns over livers or thyroids or kidneys.

But a brain? A living, thinking brain? Would that be an ethical challenge to shut down, once it became self-aware? Would it have rights? Could it demand autonomy?
