Women have the power to overturn these reproductive rights assaults in very short order, if they just got organized.

All they have to do is leave the state which is voting to restrict their rights.  Doesn't have to be permanantly.  Just until their rights are codified.

If every women, or even 85% of them, or 75% of them, or 50% of them left the state to stay with relatives in a blue state -- leaving dishes in the sink, pots on the stove, laundry in the washer -- or more importantly, their very important jobs outside the home! --  the men would have no choice.

Ha!  Men with no choice.  Imagine.

Yeah, I don't understand it.  Arizona just joined the list of states outlawing all abortion.

The women are all Gosh, we didn't see THIS coming!

Abortion rights advocates are losing in every state legislature (though still winning when a referendum is on the ballot).  That's because they're fighting the wrong fight.

Instead of saying all women have a right to abort an unborn baby—which is a tough sell—the argument needs to be reframed.  A FETUS is not a baby, an embryo is not a baby, a fertilized egg is not a person.

To argue otherwise leads to all sorts of absurdities which NOBODY IS BRINGING UP.

The term "unborn babies" needs to be expunged from the debate.  It's not a real thing.

When someone is pregnant we say she "is going to have a baby." We don't say she already has a baby.

A fellow bridge player the other week told me that all the stories about universal health care being superior to the American system are bullshit because Americans already have universal health care. Because anyone can get treated through Medicaid. He was serious. Meanwhile, in red states, we see:

Emergency rooms refused to treat pregnant women, leaving one to miscarry in a lobby restroom

Chris Christie wrote:
Look, we as conservatives fought for fifty years to say, this was taken away from the people by the Supreme Court, it should be returned to the people. We are seeing an extraordinary exercise in democracy going on in every state in this country where people are getting to vote on this.

Somebody please explain to me how taking away the right to have an abortion, and giving that decision to legislators in her state and ultimately the anonymous voters in her state (... who are BTW 50% male), how this is "democracy" in any way?  How is this in any way giving the decision back to "the people"?  Isn't there only ONE person who should be making that decision, not a committee with zero stake in the decision?

The logic of the forced birth movement defies explanation.
