| A compendium of pseudoscience, religious anti-science, prescientific medical guesswork and some really wacky ideas that caught on for a while. There's no shortage of the credulous.
- Flat earthers
- Hollow earthers
- bloodletting
- magnetism in humans
- Phrenology
- Telegony
- Tobacco smoke enemas
- vibrators and water jets to cure female hysteria
- alchemy
- bubonic plague caused by rat fleas
- widespread cannibalism in the Caribbean
- medicinal doses of cocaine and heroin
- John 13:34 talks about a soldier piercing Jesus's side with a spear to make sure he was dead. He bled -- which corpses don't. Therefore the whole myth of the resurrection is based on false medical beliefs of the time
The British author bases everything on what happened in London, as if no other cities exist on earth. That makes its 2012 publication date somewhat anachronistic. |

| What do you mean, pseudoscience? Everyone knows the vaccines make you magnetic. |
