2020 Democratic Candidates

Couple days ago MSNBC reported on a poll about Dem candidates for 2020. Biden was at 30%, Sanders at 15%, and a whole host of folks came in at 2-3%, including Beto O’Rourke, Kamala Harris, Oprah, Amy Klobachar, Corey Booker, Elizabeth Warren, and a few others. At the BOTTOM of the list, with 1%, was Hillary Clinton.

Biden and Sanders I hope are name-recognition only. We don’t need any more old white men.

Last night Pete Buttigieg was on Rachel's show. If anything, in 2020 Democrats have an embarrassment of candidates who are smart, articulate, passionate and who espouse agendas that would help America.

Shortly after her show I watched news footage of Bernie speaking at a rally -- and despite him being AOWM (another old white man) his message still resonates with me. We could do worse.

I just hope a) Trump is removed from office peacefully, or b) Trump allows a peaceful transition of power if he's still in office, and c) the Russians don't interfere with the election again.

Biden’s the 20th Democratic candidate to get in the race. Too bad. He’ll suck all of the money and most of the excitement out of the race. His candidacy goes a long way in assuring Trump’s re-election.

Nobody wants another OWM in the race. Especially not one who crucified Anita Hill on the stand, or voted with the NRA.

In addition to Anita Hill, in addition to the NRA, Joe Biden has a Burisma Holdings problem.

And a climate change problem.

In fact, he's just problematic enough that the Russians and Trump may secretly support him.

And some really, REALLY ugly family secrets.

Swalwell exits the race.  Too bad, he was one of the good ones.  Zero name recognition though.

Tom Steyer enters the race.  His NeedToImpeach movement has gained 8,223,771 followers, though I don't have any idea if Steyer has any other action plans.  If he were to win the 2020 election his whole NTI would be moot.

Frankly, the idea of another old rich white businessman with no political experience strikes me as the wrong direction to lean.

R.I.P. H.Ross Perot. You started a bad trend.

Update: Warren has officially adopted Inslee's highly-detailed and inherently doable climate plan.

Warren’s on Rachel tonight. She’s getting exponentially better as her campaign moves along. I think she’s the one.

She climbs in every new poll. Now she’s at 25%, Biden’s at 31, Bernie at 14. Combine Warren and Sanders, who have very similar platforms, and you get 39% — higher than Biden.

Joe Biden's Burisma Holdings problem may not be as big a deal as some people are trying to make it, but DJT may have unintentionally used it to call down a shitstorm upon himself.

Well Biden's campaign is about to come to an end -- if Fox News and Devin Nunes can be believed.

Here's a hint: They can't.

The big money backs Joe. That right there should be enough to give Democratic voters pause.
