What a contrast to the Republicans. These candidates are respectful of each other, even though (as Bernie is fond of pointing out) there are stark philosophical differences between them. Their foreign policy discussions were substantive and realistic. Their economic policy discussions are concrete and reality-based. When the moderator asked Bernie about a comment he made recently about Bill Clinton's improprieties in office, he explained he wasn't going to answer, he wanted the debate to be a debate about the issues facing America.
Can't imagine a Republican saying that.
Hillary was asked how much of an advisor role her husband would have, and she gave a very honest and satisfactory answer.
Gov. O'Malley comes off well in these debates, and would make a good running mate for either candidate.
