Movie: Catch-22

I ran across a DVD of Catch-22 last weekend, been forever since I'd seen it, I was SHOCKED at how good it was. Why hadn't I remembered it more fondly?

I read the book two, maybe three, times in the late sixties (on those occasions when I was able to read). Loved the story so much that I occasionally used Yossarian as my middle name (I don't have one).

I was pleasantly surprised when the movie came out and it didn't suck like most book adaptations do. Had a great cast and was true enough to the book. I haven't seen it in years, but I think I'll get the DVD and watch it again. Thanks for the reminder, NoCo.

Bruce Willis made an entire career out of channeling Alan Arkin's Yossarian.

I never thought about that, but as I ponder it, you may be right.
