Flying Toasters

Way back in the beginning of time when I worked in a computer store we had a lot of fun with After Dark's screensavers, like Flying Toasters.  I have LOOKED for a new version, to work with my present iMac, but was unsuccessful.  I downloaded a version but could never get it to work.

Today for some reason I was changing my screensaver and noticed "After Dark: Flying Toasters" was an option.  Was it the one I downloaded a couple years ago?  Or a new version that came with a software update (like maybe the one I did this morning?)  Dunno.

But it works, and it brings back a lot of memories.

Of course you realize that screen savers are of no value with LCD screens, right?

I only wrote one screen saver, and distributed three copies of it. It was a Harley Davidson that drove around the edge of your screen.

I used to have a Star Trek screen saver that was great. It featured some iconic scenes from the original series, and had a trivia game included. But it was artwork for your desk, not an actual necessity.
