YouTube to mp3 Converter

I know I've done this before and it was really simple. But I can't find the service I used. I did a search, a bunch of sites came up but either they're "closed for routine maintenance", demand too much information, or have a .ru at the end of the url. I seem to recall that I did it right through YouTube before, no third party site was required.

Any suggestions?

Yes, it's easy. Save the YT video. Play it with QuickTime.

Under QuickTime there's an option to "Export" and one of those options is "export audio only, MP3."

How do you save the YT video? I can't find a way to do it without third-party software.

I ended up using this service. Turned out that I had QT on my computer but I couldn't figure out how use it. (I'm not too swift when it comes to this sort of thing.)

Pretty sure I was able to do it before just by copying the video's url and adding some preface; much more direct.

I figured out how to do it with VLC Media Player (which everyone should have). Cool.
