I've been tasked with building some cabinet doors over at my daughter's house, and the design I came up with involves ripping some pine.
I have an old (20 yr?) table saw but it's woefully underpowered. Any kind of ripping, lengthwise, especially pine, just binds the blade up in nothing flat. When I was doing the deck and needed to rip a Trex board in half, I ended up pulling out my Skilsaw and eyeballing it.
So.... I bought myself a new table saw. The new ones are all made in China now, which means more features and better construction for less money. For $130 I got a damn powerful 10" saw which cuts through the pine boards like warm butter.
Now I just need some more projects
