| This flick has been getting good reviews so against my better judgment I went today. Hoo-boy what a waste. Two hours of car chases through the desert, truck crashes, explosions, constant numbing mayhem. Unlimited petrol and bullets in a collapsed economy. Women traded like cattle. The heroes get shot and run over but never show any sign of slowing down. Bad guys die by the hundreds without blood. Lots of cool tricked out desert cars because, apparently, post apocalypse everyone watches Monster Garage. I was hoping for some nice mindless entertainment. Got 2/3 of that. |

| But at least they didn't use CGI. I understand that all of the stunts were real life.

| Yeah, but get this -- almost all of the stunt footage was sped up by half to make it look more exciting. Who does that anymore? |

| "A video game without any controls" -- that's how I described it in another forum. Upon further reflection, that's a perfect summation. |
