I've been a Bonnie fan for many years, even had this album since it came out twenty years ago. Dunno why I never got the DVD -- did I know it existed? Maybe not.
It combines three of my favorite things in this whole world: slide guitar, wimmin blues singers an' redheads. Boo-ya!
Recorded in Oakland in 1995, Bonnie was at her absolute peak -- vocals pitch perfect and full of emotion, astonishing guitar chops and a backing band that kicks serious ass. Sound recording is phenomenal. Only the video quality -- SD and slightly washed out -- could be better today.
No matter. It's perfect.
I saw Bonnie in Seattle around this time (might have been the same tour) but this concert is better, by every measure.
