Oscar Pistorius

The Olympic runner who shot and killed his girlfriend said in court today that he shot her through a locked bathroom door, because he thought she was a robber.

This raises a couple of questions.

1. Which one of them was locked in the bathroom? If it was his girlfriend, why did he think a robber had locked himself in the bathroom? If it was him, and he was armed, why was he cowering in the bathroom?

2. Why wouldn't his girlfriend identify herself if Oscar was known to be paranoid?

3. What kind of idiot shoots through a closed door?

She was in the bathroom.

He shot into the bathroom, not knowing who was on the other side. If there was ever a case for idiots not owning guns....

Either that, or it was a premeditated murder.

I'm not convinced it wasn't premeditated. I have friends from SA so I know the crime rate is crazy high down there. But he lived in a compound type deal with a wall, not a normal home.
I don't know, it all seems weird to me.
