I thought she was going to make it to 100.

She didn't miss it by much.  Her birthday was January 17.

She was a lovable character, in almost everything I'd seen her do.  Her role in "The Proposal" was LOL funny.  Some of her plotlines and script lines in TMTMS show were groundbreaking.  Although GG was pretty trite, she (and Rue McClanahan) made sparkle out of treacle. Her recent online "battle" with Ryan Reynolds was hilarious.  Her commercial for Snickers is a classic.

She had a Guinness World Record for the longest career in show business by a woman, I believe it was 74 years at the time she received it.  Which was about a decade ago...

Plus, her work with animal conservation was epic.

Remarkable woman.
