The Next Federalist President Empty

I have a theory, the right-wing think tanks (Federalist Society, Americans for Prosperity, Heritage Foundation, etc.) get together before each election to choose a GOP candidate to run.

  • He must be male and white of course
  • he must have a likable personality ("wanna have a beer with him...")
  • he must be a total zero in terms of political smarts, so he'll be eminently pliable

This is how we got Ronald Reagan*.  This is how we got George W. Bush.  This is how we got Donald Trump.

The utter failure of the Trump Administration would not discourage these people, because they got a lot of what they wanted, more than any other president in history in fact. The damage to the rest of the country doesn't matter.

Therefore it stands to reason they'll be back in 2024 with a new stooge.  But who fits the casting call?

  • Ted Nugent?

  • Joe Exotic?  (Nah, too gay.)

  • James Woods

  • Trace Adkins

  • Dennis Quaid

  • Jesse James

* - They learned with Reagan the danger of letting the candidate pick his VP.  In this case Reagan picked George HW Bush, who although extremely unlikable, was not totally naive about policy.  He was not controllable once he succeeded Reagan.  They made sure never to repeat THAT mistake. (Can you name one single thing Mike Pence did in the last 4 years?  Neither can I.)
