Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley, one of "The Squad's" founding members, views the inroads being made by Black progressives as a sign that the Black Lives Matter movement, which has surged in popularity over the last month, is beginning to expand its power.

Reaction to trumpism is driving the Dems farther leftward, and bringing out a more diverse field of candidates.  I believe the future of the party will look a lot more like America and a lot less like Joe Biden.  If Stacey Abrahms  or Val Demings succeeds Joe, either through him stepping down or through term limits, the process could accelerate marvelously.
