Book: War Dances Empty

I've read a couple collections of short stories (and occasional poems) by local author Sherman Alexie, and they're always worthwhile. He has a unique voice, a strong sense of story, good pacing, and unpredictability. Most of his stories deal directly or tangentially with being a Spokane Indian, and illuminate aspects that a person wouldn't necessarily attach to that status.

If you ever get the chance, don't miss the opportunity to read Alexie's short story called "Fearful Symmetry." It is wonderful.
