| The movie was referenced several times in "Mary's Mosaic" so I had to nab a copy. It's an odd duck.
- It is not a documentary
- it is not totally fiction either
- it plays fast and loose with established facts, inserting items that never happened and ignoring ones that did
- for an "alternative narrative" it posits a bloody unlikely series of events (conspiracies on an order not seen in real life)
- there's a whole genre of fiction called "alternative history" but it usually results in an alternative present -- not an alternative explanation of the past -- with made up events
- the case and disc are both labeled "widescreen" but the movie is not widescreen
- the movie (Director's cut) is spread across both sides of the disc, but no notice is ever given at the end of side one to go to side two. It just goes to the top menu
- the disc sides are labeled A and B but no indication of 1 and 2 or start and finish
- side B just starts up with no prelude or explanation
- although this is a "director's cut" there is no commentary, or additional material, or other bonus material. It is LONGER -- 198 minutes instead of 189 -- but disappointingly free of apres-film insights
