Bit of wishful thinking by Truth Out I think. "Dominoes"? I doubt any other nations will follow suit unless they can figure out how to profit from it.

Profit is the easy part. Not getting bombed by drones is the tricky bit.

Profit certainly will play a part, sometimes in unexpected ways. In the USA, for example, the current producers of marijuana are against legalization because they believe it will cut into their profits.

Indeed, the hijinks and posturing here in Washington where voters legalized possession way back in November, have been positively Keystonian.

Yeah, they have raided many, many of the dispensaries in California. They raided the only one in my area, destroying all the plants, computers and other business property in the process (which is illegal in itself). Soon, there will be no dispensaries left in California, even though marijuana is the state's biggest cash crop.

But never fear - you can still buy all the alcohol and deadly prescriptions drugs you want.

But you can't get an abortion even though it is legal.
