The Catholic Lobby

All large industries find it necessary to grease the palms of their congressmen, in order to prevent shakedowns due to regulations, monopoly legislation, taxation etc. --pharmaceuticals, timber, aerospace, and eventually the software industry.

Makes me wonder -- does the Catholic Church support any congressmen, or is this why they're suddenly being hit with sanctions over the priest sex abuse scandals?
