Mrs NoCo wanted to see this mostly-true story of Walter Keane, and his unbelievably popular kitschy paintings (she had a print in her bedroom as a kid).

It's been a long time since I've seen a movie this awful. Nobody's acting is very good (usually I love Amy Adams), the characters motivations are unexplained and inexplicable, the sets are flimsy, cinematography was boring, dialog seemingly written by a 12-year old.

Maybe there isn't enough story behind the known facts to make a movie. They should have invented some.

Margaret Keane has died at age 94. Let's hope Jesus was a fan of her shitty "art."
