Movie: Dallas Buyer's Club

Mrs. NoCo wanted to watch a PPV for 4oJ. Gawd what a depressing flick DBC was. Brian's Song crossed with Million Dollar Baby. I mean I knew it was sad, but not that it was relentlessly trailer trash and cowboy too. I mean there wasn't a moment of warmth in it.

I guess the acting was good. It didn't detract from the story.

I have a 'no Matthew McConaughey' policy that movie would have violated.

He looks REALLY unhealthy in this movie -- did he lose all that weight for the role? He looks, um, scary gaunt, like Rock Hudson in his final days.
