I always enjoy Fareed Zakaria on MSNBC, but I should have checked the publication date of this book before I picked it up off the bargain table. It was written in 2008, updated in 2012.
A lot has happened in the last ten years.
A LOT.
The book reads like ancient history now, like something written before Trump, before the worldwide anti-democratic movement, before the world became consumed by local terrorism rather than international terrorism.
I shan't be finishing it.
