This despite many misguided politicians trying to claim America was founded as "a Christian nation."

Almost anytime there are public religious proclamations (by the 65% Xian majority), non-Xtians are invited to participate, even though Jews make up only 1.3% of Americans and Muslims only 0.5%.  Even Buddhists and Hindus are often invited to speak, with even smaller constituencies.

One group NEVER invited to contribute is atheists -- estimated to be 14% of the population.
