A documentary on the 15-year mission of the rover Opportunity (and its twin Spirit) on the surface of Mars. Originally designed for a 90-sol (Martian day) mission, the damn thing lasted 15 years, before finally being inactivated by a planet-wide dust storm in 2019.
The ups and down, the myriad of technical challenges overcome, the drama of waking up every morning... the lives of the original technical crew, and the 2nd generation who came in as the mission dragged on and on, who were only kids when the mission started...
Excellent graphics, combining "artist's conceptions" with actual footage, and explaining some pretty technical aspects of the mission, all very well done.
I even tried to overlook the endless harping on the "search for life" on an obviously dead planet.
