Last year I bought some leather reconditioner for the recliner my first wife bought me, so it must be at least 35 years old. The arm rests had become worn and discolored, though the chair was still comfortable and perfect for my music room. It didn't "repair" the leather but it make it softer and darkened it so the wear isn't as apparent.
Just now I was walking by the oak dining room table Mrs NoCo brought into the marriage. It's about the same vintage I guess. In a couple of spots inadvertent hot dishes had dried out the lacquer finish, leaving light-colored patches.
Yup, you guessed it. Worked gangbusters. Table looks brand new!
The stuff must be made of honey and linseed oil and a little bit of stain, my guess.
