| This is clever, but I don't think it solves a real problem. Deepfake Lips Are Coming to Dubbed FilmsFor me, if I watch a dubbed film, the off-putting aspect isn't that the actors' lips aren't synchronized with the dialogue. The problem I have is that the voices I hear aren't the voices of the original performers. And even if the voice-actor is pretty good, I am aware (at some level) that I'm listening to a fake. And I don't think it's the lip movement that's doing that. It's that the actor isn't physically performing the way the original actor was. Maybe I'm wrong. |
