I personally find this quite frightening, because I know for a fact that my refrigerator hates me.  Evil or Very Mad

I'm not a Luddite, but I can see absolutely no benefit in having your refrigerator, blender, toaster, etc, connected to the internet. Who do I call when my washing machine starts acting up: the appliance manufacturer or AT&T?

This brings to mind a question: Do the Luddites have a web site?

Luddites have a write-in campaign.

The connected home will be a reality within 4-5 years and if you don't get on board, you'll be left behind: having to make your own shopping list by hand, waiting until your smoke detector screams at you to replace batteries, opening your garage door manually with a radio-controlled garage remote. These are sad days indeed. I wouldn't give you very good odds of ever getting a date.
