Spiders !!!

We have had a bumper crop of spiders this year, appearing everywhere all over the yard and deck.  Some really stunning feats of web engineering, 20 feet across!

Wife was watering in the front yard, when I pointed out a nice big juicy spider (2" leg span) sitting in his web.  Wife hit it with the hose.  This dislodged four other spiders who were wedged in between the porch and the brick facing.  They were each as big as Buicks. Wolf spiders are harmless, but they grow to huge proportions -- 6-8" leg span. Stuff of nightmares.
