Just ran across a channel (81) on Comcast which is RT which stands for Russia Television. It is English language cable news paid for and oriented toward Russia and the Russian viewpoint.
Surprisingly, it’s hosted by Ed Schultz, former MSNBC commentator.
The slant is essentially pro-Trump, anti-Obama, anti-Hillary, anti-UK, pro-Putin, pro-NRA. The channel is pretty amateurish, showing feeds from cameras that aren’t in place, and allowing commentators to argue over each other. Also, the slant is a little hard to pin down as they cover issues with no obvious connection to Russia.
It’ll be fun to see where it goes.
