Movie: The Last Detail Empty
PostSubject: Movie: The Last Detail   Movie: The Last Detail EmptySat Feb 11, 2017 7:12 am

Last weekend I ran across a DVD of this 1973 Hal Ashby movie, which I hadn't seen nor thought about since.  It stars Jack Nicholson and Randy Quaid, and has tiny bit parts by Carol Kane, Gilda Radner, Michael Moriarty, and an actress who looks and sounds for all the world like a young Frances McDormand but she's not listed in the credits.  Hell, I guess she would have been only 16 in 1973 so it's probably not her.

The story is not much, typical of the anti-military movies being made during the Viet Nam war.  Seems like any excuse to show the stupidity and futility of military service was enough for a movie back then.

Now I'm on the lookout for a copy of "Cinderella Liberty."
