| It is funny -- or maybe "scary" -- that the level of scientific dialog in this country has descended to the point that moon landings, astronomical facts, climate facts, and evolution are now debated as "theories" as if there's no evidence to support them. This alternate universe, this Earth-2 these people live on, where Sarah Palin is a theorist and Donald Trump is a statesman, leads to a funhouse where nothing is true or verifiable, where everything is debatable, where all wacko ideas deserve equal respect. Thank you Fox News and The National Enquirer for destroying credibility, for making lies and fabrications respectable. |

Apparently, one of the seditionist mob who died had a heart attack, after accidentally tasing himself in the balls.

| Well, I stand corrected. Somebody did make it up. However, one of his fellow insurrectionists made a genuine try for the title. No, a Capitol rioter didn't die after tasering himself in the balls - Quote :

| A Capitol rioter texted his ex during the insurrection to call her a ‘moron,’ feds say. She turned him in. - Washington Post wrote:
- Standing on the Capitol steps on Jan. 6, Richard Michetti allegedly took a break from the rioting to argue with his ex-girlfriend over text message. After sending photos and videos of the mob and boasting how he had avoided tear gas, Michetti parroted Donald Trump’s false claims of election fraud.
“If you can’t see the election was stolen you’re a moron,” Michetti wrote in a text to the woman, according to court documents.
The next day, the woman he had insulted promptly told the FBI that her ex was at the Capitol, handing over to law enforcement the string of texts, photos and videos he had sent to her.
Michetti, who lives in Ridley Park, Pa., has now been charged with knowingly entering a restricted building, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and obstruction of Congress. If convicted, Michetti, who was arraigned Tuesday in federal court in Philadelphia, faces up to 20 years in prison, reported the Philadelphia Inquirer. |

| This week, I nominate me. In an attempt to eat a little more healthy, I bought a package of "turkey bacon". I think the scare quotes are justified, because it doesn't taste like either turkey or bacon.
