David Bowie dies of cancer aged 69

ALL of our days are numbered. We just don't know what that number is.

Bowie's passing is sad, he always seemed so full of life and energetic. I guess his last album was kind of somber and funereal, as befits what he knew would be his last. I was never a fan -- he always struck me as a trend follower, not a trend setter -- but he certainly was a large figure through many decades of music.

I have a copy of his movie "The Man Who Fell To Earth." Guess I should watch it again.

Not a bad movie. Maybe I will drag it out again.

I always get it mixed up with "The Brother From Another Planet." Or maybe "K-Pax."
