A friend of Mrs. NoCoPilot lent us a copy of "Lincoln," the award-winning movie by Spielberg. Have you seen it? At the risk of spoiling the surprise for you, I'll come right out and say, it is appallingly bad. It's jingoistic, it's unfaithful to history, it's miscast, the music is intrusive, the moral issues are stripped of any meaning or nuance, the battle scenes are hilariously cliched... in other words, a typical Spielberg.
