Okay, I got my big dumb summer blockbuster.

Science, logic, time-frames, logistics, survivability all go out the window.

But god damn it is fun.

Glad you enjoyed it.
I used to really like big, stupid action flicks (I fucking love Mad Max). But the advent of CGI has ruined it for me. They no longer have worthy stories or acting, just lots and lots of impossibility-rendered CGI.

In this particular case, there's the problem of the Cruse. Sometimes the personal quirks of an actor are just too bizarre to allow watching him without gagging.

Cruise is a meat puppet, an interchangable Bond who could've been played by anyone. Simon Pegg is the real star of the movie.
