Lady And The Tramp is Walt Disney’s most grown-up film

As a lifelong animal lover (I literally grew up with a Bearded Collie) I've occasionally had a hard time with this film. It's a little TOO realistic in places, the pathos was too much for my adolescent sensitivity, the horrors of the dog kennel a little too true-to-life.

First time I've heard "Walt Disney" and "grown-up" in the same sentence.

How can you not like a film about horny dogs?
