I finally got around to watching the television series Fargo. I have watched the movie of the same name several times and love it.

The tv version was similar only in that it took place in Minnesota; the story line was quite different. Throughout, the episodes had a very good Cohen Brothers feel and was quite enjoyable.

But - and it's a big but (maybe not Kardashian big, but big all the same) - the ending was so disappointing that I doubt I will bother watching another season, if there is one. After all the hours of Cohen Brothers, it turned into Same Old Shit. Not quite Walt Disney, but too damn close for me.

The character that did the shooting for the finale was by far the weakest and least interesting character in the series. His first scene was good, but that should have been the end of the character.

I forget the details now -- all I remember was Lester (or was it Jerry?) sent his little Asian wife into the office to pick up the airline tickets, wearing his coat.

Who played Billy Bob Thornton?

Oh yeah. The ending, out on the frozen lake. Very anti-climactic.

The thing turned to crap when Billy Bob was shot in the cabin by the postman. Beginning with that scene, the program was just shit. Walt fucking Disney!

I thought it was kinda a "Burn After Reading" ending.
