European Space Agency, Japanese Space Agency... The United States and our moronic Republican overlords have made sure no new discoveries will be credited to NASA ever again.

The book I'm reading indicates something like 97% of the species on Earth remain uncataloged.  The surface of Mars is better mapped than the bottom of our oceans.  If science wanted to do something closer to home, those would be a good start.

But no.  We can't even get our bridges rebuilt.

Instead we have to waste billions of taxpayer dollars piping Canadian tar sands oil to the Gulf of Mexico, for the profit of The Koch brothers with deep lobbyist pockets.

Fucking moronic Republicans.
