| What's next for The Islamic State, formerly ISIS? With firm footholds in Iraq and Syria -- thanks to the US creating instability -- I would guess Saudi Arabia will be next. The royals there are unpopular and there's a substantial Wahabist movement.
After that Sudan and North Africa will be easy next targets. |

| I don't think ISIS will last long. They're pissing off too many of the Muslim states.

| I sort of thought everyone else had had their belly full of this enough that we wouldn't see much more of it and from the President and the happenings it looks like they are prepping to put us in a continuous state of war for the foreseeable future?! This is nuts! War with what?! We're broke, our guys are crippled, our armor isn't arming us well, we have no funding, our bridges are practically falling down. What do they want the entire country to look like Detroit? Is this the new jobs program? |

| It's a jobs program for the "defense" industry. And it's not new.

| It's ridiculous. I fear what's going to become of us. Right now, as it stands, we have places that look very first world and we have places that look very similar to third world. If we keep going with this shit we really will find ourselves permanently ruining what previous generations fought so hard to give us. From the interstates we need for commerce to the educational base we need for the high tech future, we will lose it all. And Obama is setting us up worse than Bush did! There's not even a facepalm big enough. |

I have to disagree with you on this, Jenni. True, Obama's accomplishments are far less than we would like, but he has been stopped by Congress at nearly every good thing he wanted to do. |

I was only referring to what has been said about the ISIS situation. It looks like the people who were on the news in the last few days, oh what's that dude's name.....Hagel, he and a couple of others were on talking to congress and they are talking like a 20 year deal. Of course my mind immediately says, "if they are admitting to 20 years what will it really be?" That's a much longer commitment than anyone has ever put forth and it's scary. While at the same time Obama seems to be kissing Putin's arse in what looks like the beginning of a proxy war over there, leading to possibly WWIII. I mean, isn't that the exact same area that got us into the other Balkan based wars? I don't see an exit strategy. The more we bluff and act like we're gonna do the more the rebels want us to and if we step in then we give one side or another a reason to be in it even longer. 20 years? That time line makes no sense, I don't see an end to it. |

| I hadn't heard the twenty-year remark. That's absurd. Of course, those people over there have been fighting this war for over a thousand years. |
