| Apparently he and his staff don't know how to run a campaign. Perhaps he should have hired you as his campaign manager.

| Bernie Sanders got shellacked in the last primary tonite in Washington DC, 21% to Hillary's 79%.
It's decidedly, definitively over. |

| Saw a bumpersticker for Bernie today, if it had been the official slogan he would've won for sure. - Quote :

| Trump is right, the system was rigged. Because of this we've gotten a president nobody wants who will do things nobody can anticipate. What. A. Fucking. Mess. |

| Okay, so Bernie has a real shot at the 2020 nomination, apparently. *IF* he doesn't fuck it up again. And *IF* the DNC doesn't chicken out again and bow to the big money. Because Sanders represents not just an outsider politician, but a political revolution. Trump won in 2016 because people wanted change, and Hillary was the candidate of the Establishment. I don't think Trump crossover voters got what they expected (the neo-Nazis may have) so the hunger for change is still there. All the other candidates represent incremental change. Small movements. Undoing Trump, but not fundamentally up-ending the system that allowed him to become president. Sanders is another OWM but I think the reaction to Trump's excesses may actually have strengthened Bernie's appeal. His fund-raising is off-the-charts. His event in Tacoma today (7:00 p.m.) saw people lining up at the Tacoma Dome at 4:30 a.m. Bernie supporters are adamant. He might just have a chance this year. |

| Washington State's primary is March 10 this year (they moved it up).
Super Tuesday is on March 3, with CA, TX, AL, AR, CO, ME, MA, MN, NC, OK, TN, UT, VT & VA.
We will know by the tenth who our nominee will be. |

| You know, the whole primary/caucus thing is ludicrous. States are moving themselves earlier and earlier, to gain more power in the selection process, while states late in the process just waste a lot of money holding primaries. Seven states are not even holding Republican primaries this year, because Trump is the presumptive nominee. Why are the other 43 states even bothering? When Sanders is elected November 3 I hope one of his agenda items is to fix this ridiculous system. Either all primaries on the same day -- and make it a national holiday, like Election Day -- or the convention is combined with the primaries, with public participation somehow instead of delegates. |

Between then and now, thanks to Mitch and Devin and Lindsey, we simply have to endure the daily assaults on our liberty. As more and more damage is done, and our timeline to repair his damage gets longer and longer, hopefully the electorate will get more and more horrified by what the Russians and the Senate did. Trump's excesses are pushing Sanders upward. |

| Sanders could win in 2020. Pollsters as usual have no fucking clue which way this goes. - Quote :
- Today, some Democrats are expressing identical concerns: If the very progressive Sanders is the nominee, it will result in Democrats losing more moderate states and could enable the GOP to regain the control of the House it lost in 2018. Some have recently equated Sanders with the very progressive 1972 Democratic nominee George McGovern, who went on to lose horribly to Richard Nixon by 23 percentage points. Republicans are even expressing "glee" that Sanders might be the nominee, believing they can use his "democratic socialism" as a bogeyman to scare voters.
But comparisons to McGovern's electoral fate fall flat. In head-to-head matchups in 1972, Nixon never polled less than 53% while McGovern never got over 38% -- trailing Nixon at times by over 30 points. In contrast, last week's Washington Post/ABC poll shows Sanders topping Trump 51% to 45%. Obviously, this poll doesn't mean the election will turn out that way, but it does make it clear Sanders currently attracts more support than McGovern ever did and that Nixon was far more popular in 1972 than Trump is today. |

| For Sanders to win the general, he's going to need to adjust his message. "Medicare for all" and "tax the billionaires" won't do it, he'll be ripped to shreds by Trump TV and Russian money. He needs something like this: - Bernie Sanders wrote:
- We need to not only defeat Trump in November, we need to defeat the corrupt system that allowed him to become president in the first place. We need to get big money out of politics. We need publicly funded campaigns. We need a shortened election cycle. We need term limits, on Congress as well as the President. The Electoral College needs to go away. We need Election Day to be a national holiday.
And we need candidates who serve the people, rather than vice versa. |

| Ya know....Bernie is not really a Democrat. Brand New Congress is not a Democrat organization. Our Revolution is not a Democrat PAC. If Mike Bloomberg and Tom Steyer and Andrew Yang and all the rest put their money behind Bernie in a third party bid, I think Bernie's Army would follow. If the fucking Democrat party is going to pull another 2016 and let big money, rather than public sentiment, determine their candidate then maybe, just maybe, the Democrat party is as irrelevant to the future of the USA as the old white man Republican party. |

| A recent Facebook post by David Gerrold: - Quote :
- I saw a post by a Sanders supporter that said if Bernie doesn't win, he'll sit out the election so he can watch Trump wipe the floor with the Democrats.
My immediate reaction was hostility. My rational reaction is that whoever posted that wanted me to react with hostility. And upon further thought, I realized that post had to be made by a Russian troll who wants to divide the Democrats. The question for all of us remains — do we despise Trump enough to vote blue, no matter who? Do we love America enough to vote for the Democratic nominee even if it's not our preferred candidate? Oh, and one more thing — I block trolls. I block people who are doing the work of trolls. I'm out of patience with those who behave like spoiled brats. Politics isn't a spectator sport. It isn't about white knights and unicorns and nobody is getting a fucking pony. (Or even a pony that doesn't fuck.) Most of all, politics is not about slavish, cult-like devotion to an individual. It's about policy. Politics is about rational people coming together to solve common problems. Nobody has the whole answer, but when we work together, each of us working on our part of the problem, we move forward. If we do not drag this nation back out of the cesspool of fanaticism now, we may never again have the chance. |

| Oh, I'll vote for Biden over Trump. Everybody over 30 will. But everybody UNDER 30 will conclude, as they did in 2016, that the election is rigged, it doesn't matter WHO they vote for, so they'll stay home and Trump will win again by default. It happened in 2016, and it's happening again in 2020. Bernie's strength is the youth vote, who have the most to gain from a Sanders presidency. If the DNC shuts him out AGAIN -- remember, he entered the 2016 convention with a plurality of the delegates and a plurality of states, only to be OVERTHROWN by the totally corrupt system of "superdelegates" made up of big donors and party operatives -- when Bernie is denied the nomination -- AGAIN -- America's youth will conclude -- rightly! -- that the system is rigged. No Russian trolls required.

| Buttigieg, Klobuchar, O'Rourke, Clyburn, and a host of others each received about $250,000 in tax-free cash, I'm guessing, to endorse Biden.
I dare anybody to disprove this theory. |
