I watched a video yesterday about an apothecary in Japan where you can put your feet in a tank to be nibbled on by dead flesh eater fish.

Got me to thinking.

Maybe the next horizon of life-improvising medicines isn't in chemicals, but in specially-engineered micro-organisms to provide helpful functions.

• Ear wax eating ticks that live in your ear
  
• Bacteria that eat other odor-causing bacteria that you can spray under your arms and in your genital region
  
• Sugar & fat-eating specialist tapeworms
  
• Keratin-eating bacteria that live under your fingernails and keep them short
