| I never thought about this, but when somebody asks the question, it (of course) becomes obvious. There has to be a spot on the Earth's ocean surface (probably somewhere in the Pacific, because the Pacific is so big), that is the farthest from any land. And that would be the spot to aim at if you wanted to de-orbit something unreasonably large. Like the ISS. Point Nemo |
