It does seem bitter sweet, though I suspect there will always be a segment of the film/movie, going/making community that will prefer and keep alive celluloid. I love digital and prefer it for it's quality and clarity, as the content is more important to me than the texture or "feel" of the physical medium itself. There is a certain nostalgia, not unlike with vinyl records, 8 track tapes, paperback books, etc, that is attractive in its own right though. I can see the appeal.
