It was a gray rainy day in Seattle and wife & I both wanted to see this new movie starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen.
Both are a little long in tooth, and there were scenes where younger stars would have made more sense. But on the other hand, it's heartening to see older actors getting physical and meaty roles. Hollywood has problems with age.
The plot moves along handily, and you get the distinct impression that there's going to be more to the plot than meets the eye. As it turns out, there is.
But nothing like you expected.
We both enjoyed the surprise. Tickety-boo.
