Tim Draper has gotten enough signatures to place a ballot measure on November’s ticket dividing California into NoCal, SoCal and L.A.

What are the chances of passage.

What would be the effect.

Would this triple CA’s influence on the Electoral College.

Flag sales soar. How would 52 stars be laid out.

What states would follow suit.

Eastern Washington is agricultural and solidly Republican.  They are always overwhelmed by Western Washington’s liberal Democratic urban areas.

All of Oregon is agricultural and conservative, except Portland where everyone lives.

Austin is a pocket of liberalism inside the Republic of Texas.

When Steve Kornacki shows the county maps on The Big Board on Election Day, the population centers are always Blue and the surrounding areas Red.

Following this thread to its ultimate expression, maybe the USA will become the UCA and the UFA.

How would the lower population of the United Farms of America get any business done?  They’d have to have trade agreements with the United Cities of America, in exchange for food.

Immigrants are welcome to live in UCA, but they’ll only find work in UFA.

UFA will have no taxes, so no roads or schools or police either. Children who aspire to a life off the farm will have to renounce citizenship and move, before the 5th grade.
