I actually saw this first on Yahoo News. A comment was just being posted: "More fake news from Huffpost". I couldn't help wondering, what's fake about this? The guy really was sentenced to 40+years, so the crime wasn't fake. America (and others, no doubt) complain bitterly about Russian doping. And isn't this actually just as bad, just as reprehensible? What's fake?

And it was not just Doctor Nassar, the whole Olympic Committee was notified decades ago about Nassar’s abuse and did nothing.  I don’t know if the whole country should be banned from the Olympics, but possibly the gymnasts....

No, that isn’t right.  That’s blaming the victims again. It’s not like a doping scandal where the athletes benefited.

But something has to be done.  All of gymnastics coaches already resigned didn’t they?  Maybe the Olympic Committee should be canned too.
