This raises the interesting possibility that he will attempt to sidestep all of the Russia investigation indictments and impeachment by taking a medical LOA or stepping down. I for one would still be in favor of prosecuting him regardless. I for one would consider Pence a poor replacement (he's also under legal jeopardy of course).
It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.
