JFK Assassination Documents to be Released

Thursday October 26, 2017 we will finally see the remainder of the report of the Warren Commission declassified and made public.

So, we probably shouldn't expect much in those last 2%.

Still, wouldn't it be something if confirmation was forthcoming of the involvement of any of the following (all reputed at one point or another):

• The Soviet Union
  
• Cuba's government
  
• Organized crime
  
• The C.I.A.
  
• Cuban nationalists pissed at Kennedy for the Bay of Pigs fiasco
  

You left out LBJ as a possible culprit.

I expect the last two percent to provide as much startling information and as many surprises as the first ninety-eight percent: ZIP.

God, how I hate conspiracy theories.

The story here says there are still "more than a hundred thousand pages of material" yet to be released (?)  I guess after the Justice Department gets done redacting it'll be a couple of 3x5 notecards.

What happens when lawmakers break their own laws?  Is this a case for the courts?  Or are we just SOL?

If you hate conspiracy theories, give one good logical non-covert reason why the remaining documents would need to be redacted. Just one, is all I'm askin'.

I think that probably the documents that various agencies are trying to keep hidden have some entries which reveal something stupid that someone said or did that they don't want released to avoid embarrassing politicians or agencies. Possibly there may be evidence of the CIA or FBI conducting illegal investigations. Crap like that. There will not be any startling news about Ray Charles being involved in the assassination.

So far I guess the documents reveal more questions than answers. This may be one of those instances where we think we might know what happened, but there's no way to be absolutely certain.

Therefore, controversy and conspiracy theories will still find adherents.
